A GROUP of students from a Bradford theatre school were each top of the class, finishing with 100 per cent exam scores.

Holly Ingham, Daisy Wade, both 14; Isabel Hudson, 16; Reece Garea-Jennings, 17, from Stage 84, based in Idle, each secured a perfect mark.

Over years gone by, while Stage 84 has maintained a 100 per cent pass rate from year to year and individual students have on occasions been awarded a grade of 100 marks, never before have had a total of four students receive such an incredible mark in one session.

A total of almost 40 examination entries were prepared this year, and the overwhelming majority of those gained distinctions, which is the highest grade available.

Many of the group’s Bradford Performing Arts students are in final rehearsals for our ‘double header’ show; Moana Jr and Fame Jr, which will be performed at the newly renovated Yeadon Town Hall, on October 8 and 9. One half of this show will showcase junior students of the school in Moana Jr, and the second half will feature senior students in Fame Jr.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from ticketsource.co.uk/stage84 or by calling the box office on 0333 6663366.

Stage 84 is accepting applications for new students wishing to join the school in classes such as Singing, Performing Arts, Dance and Drama.

The school has further exciting projects planned for next year including a large scale production of Matilda The Musical Jr, to be presented in September 2022.

Craig Winward, Stage 84 Managing Director, said: “I am incredibly proud of all our singing students, who have once again earned fantastic results in their LAMDA singing examinations.

“Given the many challenges our young people have faced in the last 20 months or so, their achievements are all the more remarkable.

“Our four students who were awarded a perfect mark of 100 in their examination should rightly be very proud of their achievements and we very much look forward to seeing them develop further in the future.”
