IT was a special night down at Brighouse Town earlier this week, as they and Bradford City paid tribute to tragic Tomi Solomon.
The young Bantams academy star died in the River Calder in June at the age of just 13.
His loss was keenly felt by football clubs in the Bradford District, not least City themselves, but Wednesday night's game at the Yorkshire Payments Stadium was a cause for celebration, rather than mourning.
Over 400 spectators turned up for the charity match in Tomi's memory between Brighouse's Under-14s and their City academy counterparts.
It was free entry but donations were taken via a bucket collection, with both teams coming together at the end to pose for photos.
