BRADFORD Council has announced temporary road closures for the following areas of the district:

*Factory Street, Bradford, for electrical works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Factory Street from its junction with Tong Street (slip road) to a point outside the sub-station.

Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Tong Street (Slip Road), Rooley Lane, Rook Lane, Factory Lane and Factory Street (unaffected section).

The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on Saturday, September 25 until 6pm on October 7.

* Lumb Lane, Manningham, for water works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Lumb Lane, from its junction with Alice Street to its junction with Clarendon Court.

Alternative routes for traffic are available via Lumb Lane (unaffected section), Westgate White Abbey Road, Whetley Hill, Carlisle Road and vice versa.

The order comes into operation at 7pm until 9.30pm tomorrow.

* Cockin Lane, Clayton, for telecommunication works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Cockin Lane from its junction with Bridleway 479 (Bradford Northern) to its junction with Low Lane.

Alternative routes for traffic are available via Cockin Lane (unaffected section), Lane Side, Low Lane, Pitt Lane, Brighouse and Denhome Road, Albert Road, Sandbeds, Scarlet Heights, Baldwin Lane, The Avenue, Town End Road, Low Lane and vice versa.

The order comes into operation on effect at 7pm on September 17 until 5am on September 20.

* Myrtle Avenue, Bingley, for water works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Myrtle Avenue from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Unity Street South.

Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Myrtle Avenue (unaffected section), Beech Street, Ash Terrace, Bradford Road and vice versa.

The proposed order will come into effect at 8am until 6pm on September 29.

* Strong Close Road, Keighley, for gas works to be carried out. The order will affect the length of Strong Close Road from a point outside No.24 to a point outside No. 28.

Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Strong Close Road (unaffected section), Dalton Road, Riverside, Strong Close Grove and vice versa. The order will come into operation at 8am on September 20 and remains in force until 6pm on September 24.

* One-way traffic flow is to be introduced on Clarges Street, Bradford, for gas works to be carried out.

The one-way system will run from the junction of Clarges Street with Little Horton Lane to its junction with Montague Street (traffic will be allowed from Little Horton Lane toward Montague Street).

Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Clarges Street (unaffected section), Lindley Road, Roundhill Street, Park Lane, Little Horton Lane.

The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on September 27 and remain in force until 6pm hours on October 15.
