A man has been fined for cutting down a tree in in Bradford.
Fiaz Ahmed Raja, of Derby Road, Burton upon Trent, has been fined £420 for cutting down a tree from a designated conservation area in the district.
Raja appeared at Bradford And Keighley Magistrates Court court on Tuesday August 24, 2021 and indicated a guilty plea for cutting down, uprooting or wilfully destroying a tree in a conservation area.
The offence took place on April 15, 2019, at St Pauls Conservation, a designated area by City Of Bradford District Council.
Raja has found himself with almost £2000 to pay as a result.
On top of the fine, he must pay the fund victim services a fee of £42, and legal costs of £1326.92.
He will start paying £150 a month from September 21, 2021.
