A FILM taking viewers back in time to Victorian Bradford will be shown on the Big Screen in City Park on Wednesday, September 11 at 12.30pm.

Bradford: A Fascinating City Then and Now was made by Joanne Crowther and Molineaux Productions in conjunction with Bradford Make:Film and was initially shown at the National Science and Media Museum in July.

The film looks at key Victorian locations around the city, including Undercliffe Cemetery, Little Germany, the Wool Exchange, Lister's Mill, St. George's Hall and the former Telegraph & Argus building on Hall Ings.

"We also explore and celebrate the diverse current day cultural activities across the district, including community art events, festivals, Kala Sangam arts centre and Mind The Gap, Bradford's award-winning theatre company," says Joanne.

"The final scene takes place up on the wild and windy moors, following Victorian guide Pollie Toothill (pictured) looking out over panoramic views of Bradford."

John Anthony Burnett, former wool buyer and subsidiary director at John Foster (Yarns) is interviewed in the film and will be at Wednesday's screening.
