AN exciting show portraying the best upcoming talent on Bradford's music scene is being put on this Friday.

The Underground will play host to performances from MC Blazer Boccle, poet Kirsty Taylor, singer Premaura, and artists Haze Da Martian, Shantelle King, and Musumba.

QM Records, a Brighton-based events company, are the ones behind the show.

Director Ned Archibong, who grew up in Bradford, said: "We got approached by Music Venue Trust who wanted to do a series of shows for Revive Live Tour and asked if we could programme some shows in London. I said on condition that we can do a show in Bradford too which they agreed too.

"We have put together a line up of acts which are excelling in Bradford now. It is particularly good for the artists because they haven’t had the chance to perform live for such a long time. It is so important to keep that fire burning so it can get bigger. Music is a business, it is employment. Hopefully it gets big and creates an energy in the city.

"There is something there for everybody. It has got a real good response from the tickets sales so far. It has really opened our eyes to do more in Bradford in the future."

Ned is delighted by the line-up he has been able to get on board for the show.

He added: "Blazer Boccle has been making a lot of noise in Bradford for many years, he has been one of the city’s premium MCs. To have an opportunity to put him on is really good.

"Kirsty Taylor grabbed my attention because she is like the voice of the Bradford people. The poems she comes with really represent the working class voice, which is really important.

"Premaura is a very theatrical performer."
