HAS your daughter or son been inspired by the heroics of British teenager Emma Raducanu, after she won the US Open tennis on her debut in New York?

The 18-year-old, who finished her A-Levels this summer, was the first qualifier to ever win a Grand Slam tournament and the first British woman to win a major in more than 40 years.

Despite summer being over, many young people may be inspired to pick up their racquet and head to tennis court, dreaming of following in Raducanu’s footsteps.

If your child, or even yourself is feeling motivated to get into tennis, there are a whole host of free to play on courts, and tennis clubs if you want to take it more seriously, across the district.

Here is a full rundown of all the tennis courts in Bradford, with most of the district’s major parks being home to courts, while some sports centres have short tennis facilities.

Many of the district’s schools also have tennis courts which pupils and staff could use; some may also hire them out for external use.
