GAS cylinders are believed to be exploding in a large fire that has erupted at an industrial unit this afternoon.
West Yorkshire Police was called at 4.49pm today to reports of a huge blaze in the area of Mill Street East, in Dewsbury.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) deployed 12 fire engines and specialist units to the fire.
A spokesperson for WYFRS said the blaze has taken hold in an industrial unit.
Witnesses have reported hearing explosions from the premises and a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said it it believed this is gas cyclinders exploding.
Videos seen by the T&A show large plumes of smoke rising into the air from the industrial units in the area.
The WYFRS spokesperson said "all persons are accounted for" and the police spokesperson said there are no reports of injuries currently.
But officers are continuing to check the scene.
Mill Streat East has been closed and evacuated, while Warren Street has also been shut.
There is a police cordon in place around the scene.
Residents are being advised to keep their windows closed and people are urged not to travel through the area.
