A MAN has been jailed for six months for tending an £80,000 cannabis farm in Bradford.
Albanian national Olsen Hida was arrested at the property in Lymington Drive, Holme Wood, when the police busted it on the morning of June 14.
He pleaded guilty to production of 85 mature cannabis plants and a follow on grow of 170 seedlings.
Hida, of Arnos Grove Court, Enfield, London, was given instructions on how to look after the plants and provided with food and a mattress on the floor, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Richard Mansell QC, said he had performed a limited function under direction. He was of good character and used by criminals. Hida was one of many Albanians arrested at cannabis farms in Bradford after being trafficked into the country, the court heard.
He will be released soon after spending time locked up in HMP Leeds awaiting sentence.
