ROAD closures will mean the diversion of some weekend DalesBus services from Skipton and Embsay during September and October.

Barden Moor Road, between Eastby and Barden, is currently closed to allow Northern Powergrid to undertake cable replacement work.

It means the Saturday service 74 and Sunday service 873 will not be able to use the road for several weeks.

Harrogate Road in Skipton is also due to close shortly to allow the installation of drainage for a new housing development.

As a result, the Saturday service 59 and Sunday service 884 will be unable to use The Bailey for several weeks.

The bus service changes are:

DalesBus 59: Harrogate to Skipton

From September 18 for the duration of the closure of Harrogate Road DalesBus 59 will be diverted between Skipton Bus Station and Bolton Bridge via Grassington Road and the A59. Stops in Newmarket Street, Greenacres and Overdale areas will not be served.

Cravenlink 873: Skipton – Bolton Abbey - Ilkley

From September 12 for the duration of the closure of Barden Moor Road Cravenlink bus 873 will be diverted between Embsay and Bolton Abbey via Low Lane and the A59.
