1. Mughals – Leeds Road

The Asian inspired dessert café has a counter full of mouth-watering, colourful desserts, and is the number one ranked parlour in Bradford with an average score of 4.5 out of five from 274 reviews.

It also serves savoury dishes with a range of curries and British cuisine available throughout the day.

One reviewer said: “The food was amazing and the service was exceptional.

“Really enjoyed the experience. Really authentic food. Family friendly fantastic experience highly recommended.”

Another added: “We have been visiting Mughals for a few years now, and every time we have been the food has been delicious.

“We also love to treat ourselves to the sweet counter. All the sweets are fresh and tasty.”

2. Cake’Ole – City Park

Still a relatively new café, it has won the hearts of Bradfordians quickly with its quirky décor and great range of cakes available every day, gaining a score of 4.5 from 47 reviews.

One reviewer said: “Very good, the service was spot on. Price wise very competitive.

“Around £8 for two Americanos and some of the nicest fruit toast and butter I've tasted in a long time.”

Another visitor added: “We come here a lot. Brilliant cakes (and all the other food), fantastic decor and atmosphere and friendly and welcoming staff.”

3. Vanilla Rooms – Leeds Road

With a four-star rating from 214 reviews, Vanilla Rooms is a firm favourite for people in Bradford with its luxurious offerings of ice cream, baked goods, pancakes, waffles and more.

It’s all served up in a wonderfully decorated restaurant, and the place is so well-loved it won this year’s Travellers’ Choice award. It also serves up savoury dishes.

One reviewer said: “Food was lovely but most importantly the service was amazing!

“All the staff were very kind, especially staff member Yusra who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.”

Another added: “The decor is absolutely stunning. The service was fantastic, our waiter was helpful and gave recommendations.

“My son had a brownie for dessert that was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and I would recommend others to visit!”

4. IceStone Gelato – Leeds Road, Thornbury

Another dessert parlour on Leeds Road makes the list, and IceStone is synonymous with the cuisine as one of its trailblazers.

It’s four-star rating from 215 reviews, its popularity has endured with customers who return time and time again for ice cream, waffles and more.

“Served by lovely staff members,” one customer said, “the milkshakes and waffles were very tasty. Definitely recommend this place for desserts!”

Another added: “This is one of the greatest places I have visited with my family, the staff were lovely.

“We had a really good time, the food was amazing; honestly I could not complain it was excellent!”

5. Heavenly Desserts – Great Horton Road, Shearbridge

Another eatery with a dazzling array of cakes, ice cream sundaes and much more, Heavenly Desserts places fifth with a four rating from 81 reviews.

One reviewer said: “A fab time at Heavenly today with the family.

“Got some desserts after a lovely meal and they were excellent. Very nice interior and kids enjoyed themselves.”

Another said: “This place is gem nice; a beautiful sitting area and desserts are excellent.

“We really enjoyed our lovely desserts and the waiters were really nice and polite.”

6. Pearls Tearoom & Patisserie – Rooley Avenue

As well as an array of desserts on display in a vast fridge area, Pearls also offers a range of main meals for any appetite.

It has a score of 3.5 from 218 reviews and while the majority are positive, the most recent reviews suggest improvements may be needed.

Fans praised the décor and levels of service, as well as quality of food, but some detractors criticised the same things, with people saying that while the concept was good the execution could do with some improvement.
