A MOTORCYCLIST was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash near a major roundabout.

Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A58 (Whitehall Road), in the Cleckheaton area, at 7.31pm on Saturday, August 28.

It was close to Chain Bar Roundabout.

The crash involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and a white Suzuki motorbike.

The rider of the bike, a 50-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.

West Yorkshire Police has today issued an appeal for information, in relation to the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw either of the involved vehicles being driven prior to the incident, particularly those with CCTV or dash-cam footage, should contact PC Asghar (630) of the West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit (RPU) on 101, or using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
