A FREE public guided walk around Manningham, with a guide in costume acting as former mill owner Samuel Lister, will be held at 2pm on Sunday,September 12.

It will start and finish outside Manningham Mills, on the Lilycroft Road/Patent Street corner, BD9 5BD.

This is part of the national heritage open days events.

One of the organisers, Peter Nias, said 'We will be outside all the time and abide by the government guidance advice of the day.

"Included in the walk will be the 400-year-old building called the Old Manor House and hear about the people who lived in it and in other more recent houses, including the German history.

"We'll see some modern constructions and hear those stories too."

Free parking will be available on Patent Street.
