A FURTHER eight Covid-19 hospital deaths have been recorded in the Bradford district in the past two days.

Six were recorded at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, while the two other fatalities occurred at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

In Bradford, the deaths happened on August 28, two on August 30 and 31, and one on September 1.

At Airedale, the deaths occurred on August 11 and 27.

It means the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the Bradford district’s hospitals now stands at 956; 679 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 275 at Airedale, and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Across England, in the past two days a further 314 Covid hospital deaths have been recorded, taking the total number of fatalities from the virus in hospitals during the pandemic to 90,701.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, over the past two days nine more Covid-19 deaths were recorded at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, 13 were seen at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, and seven were reported at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

It means Leeds Teaching Hospitals has now seen 1,011 Covid-19 deaths, Mid Yorkshire has recorded 1,094 fatalities, and Calderdale & Huddersfield has seen 541 deaths.
