A NEW cafe and dessert parlour with a youthful flavour run by two cousins has opened its doors.

Waseem, 23, and Mobeen Ahmed, 25, who are cousins, have opened up Bon App'tit in Legrams Lane, which offers a mixture of gourmet cuisine and sweet dishes.

It is the first business together for the duo and they recruited 10 new staff members at the site, with the oldest being aged 23.

They offer a host of sweet and savoury dishes. Crepes, waffles and cookie dough and its premium dessert range includes melting chocolate domes and other items include honeycomb cages and sticky toffee pudding.

Waseem, a former Dixons Allerton Academy student, says he is delighted to open his business and he says it offers a different experience for customers on Legrams Lane.

He said: "We want to bring a different feel and create a vibe here.

"We are changing the scene and the vibe of the area. We are on Legrams Lane and it is starting to pick up here. It is the first dine-in in our section of the road.

"We employed 10 people and for some of them it's their first job. The oldest person that we have working here is 23. It's working really well.

"We want to be an eatery and for our staff to gain confidence.

"We are both young individuals who have seen the effect the pandemic has had on young people and businesses and want to inspire other young people like ourselves and remind them that anything is possible and they too can one day run a successful business.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

"It has taken us just under two years to bring the cafe to where it is today.

"We have created job opportunities for other young people - our cafe is not just a eatery but a hub for young people to come and spend their time in a calm and cozy atmosphere.

"The cafe gives the area a bit of a different look.

"We want to promote grilled food too and offer our food at an affordable price. We're starting breakfasts too."
