POLICE are appealing for information following a serious collision in Leeds today.

It happened at around 9.10am, when a bus collided with a pedestrian on Park Row in Leeds city centre.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The pedestrian, a 51-year-old male, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition at this time.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has any information that may assist with enquiries, in particular anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting log 0419 of 26th August."
