A MAN has been jailed for six months for carrying offensive weapons in Bradford.
Hamzah Azad, 23, of Hutton Road, Bankfoot, Bradford, was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to four offences.
He admitted having a punch knife, a knuckle duster and a baseball bat in Carr Bottom Road, Wibsey, on September 4 last year.
Azad also pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer on the same date.
He was jailed for two months for each of the three offensive weapon charges, the sentences to run consecutively.
The weapons were forfeited by the magistrates’ court.
The defendant was also ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £213.
