A COUPLE of men were arrested after robbing a betting shop in Leeds - each believed to be armed with a hammer.
The incident occurred place at around 7.38pm when it is reported that the two men entered Coral Racing in Austhorpe Road through the rear of the shop.
The men are reported to have pushed a member of staff, before taking money from the till and fleeing in a Silver Vauxhall Astra.
The staff member was unharmed but is understandably shaken by the incident.
The 42-year-old and 48-year-old men have been arrested and released pending further investigation.
Leeds District CID are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen a Silver Vauxhall Astra prior to the incident or shortly after, in particular on Manston Crescent at around 7.30pm, to contact 101 quoting crime reference number 13210399742.
