The traffic which has built between westbound junctions 25 and 23 on the M62
AN accident between two vehicles caused one lane to shut and four miles of queuing traffic on the M62.
The incident occurred on westbound Junction 24, A629 (Ainley Top).
As a result, lane three of three was closed.
Traffic has built between westbound junctions 25 and 23.
All lanes have since re-opened.
Travel time is around 30 minutes.
The speed restriction (40mph) is in place due to the vehicles involved being recovered from the hard shoulder, which is why congestion is struggling to clear.
