A BRADFORD police officer who swiped coffee during a search of a property has been sacked after his misconduct was found to be proven.
Police Constable James Wright was called before a misconduct hearing on July 26 accused of breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to honesty and integrity, discreditable conduct, and orders and instructions.
He has been called to search a premises, and during the search he removed a quantity of coffee which he had found.
The coffee was not required as evidence or for any other policing purpose, and the coffee was not booked into the property stores or otherwise recorded as having been taken.
Following the misconduct hearing the matter was found proven, and PC James Wright was dismissed from the force.
