PEOPLE are being urged not to ring 999 if they find a dead animal.
West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre asked people not to ring police to remove the animal if they are in such a situation.
Found a deceased animal? Please do not ring 999 for Police to remove the animal. This would be a matter for a vet (to check for any chip to identify the owner) or the Council. We are not the correct organisation for such enquiries, though our sympathies to those involved.
