A crash has forced a lane to shut causing a huge amount of traffic to build up on the M62.
The lane is the third of three on the M62 Westbound from Junction 23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to Junction 22 A672 (Rishworth Moor).
Congestion has built up almost 12 miles all the way down to Junction 24 (Ainley Top), which had already been closed earlier today due to technical problems.
There are currently delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic.
The event is expected to clear between 4pm and 4.15pm
A return to normal traffic conditions is expected between 4.30pm and 4.45pm.
