Thunderstorms have hit parts of West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester - but Bradford seems to have escaped the worst so far (4pm).
Lightning and heavy rain hit Kirklees at around 3pm, with Holmfirth experiencing some localised flooding on roads as the drains struggled to cope with the heavy downpours.
In Manchester, there were reports of a fire breaking out at Trafford General Hospital after it was struck by lightning.
Some patients and staff had to be evacuated from one of the wards at the hospital as firefighters battle the flames.
Meanwhile, a railway signalling system has been hit by lightning, blocking the train line between Doncaster and Scunthorpe.
