PLANS have been submitted to Bradford Council to convert a former beauty parlour in Great Horton into a shop with two flats.

The application, if approved, would see the vacant unit in Kingswood Terrace turned into a ground floor shop with two flats spread over three floors.

The first flat, also on the ground floor, would be a bedsit with space for only a single bed, while the flat on the first floor would be an apartment with three double bedrooms, with one in the attic space.

If the application is approved the shop would create one new full-time job and one part-time job.

The corner unit, which is currently empty and in a residential area, was previously open as Esthetic, a skincare and beauty clinic, and most recently was operated by Flame Savers, a commercial energy consultants.

It currently has no off-street parking as a corner unit on two residential streets, and is opposite an empty site where there is ongoing construction work.
