A DRIVER was left with egg on their face after speeding and then incidentally stopping next to a couple of police bikes.
Rather than drive at the speed of the other vehicles, the driver of this white Volkswagen decided to wait until a gap opened up, accelerate hard and then brake heavily to a stop.
This was all within 25 metres in heavy traffic with lots of pedestrians around.
Luckily, police was on the scene to witness and seized the vehicle which wasn't insured.

Steerside were busy yesterday also arresting a suspect who had driven without insurance or a licence, committed two burglaries and stole a motorcycle which was recovered.
The investigation is ongoing.
