A POLICE officer will go before a misconduct panel after claims he had taken some coffee during a house search in Bradford.
PC James Wright, of the West Yorkshire Police, will attend the misconduct hearing on July 26 for allegedly breaching the standards of professional behaviour in relation to honesty and integrity, discreditable conduct and orders and instructions.
The Metropolitan Police said: "In the course of his duties on June 18, 2020, PC Wright attended and searched a premises in Bradford.
"It is alleged that during the search the officer removed a quantity of coffee which he had found in the premises.
"The coffee was not required as evidence or for any other policing purpose.
"The coffee was not booked into the property stores or otherwise recorded as having been taken."
