A KIRKLEES optometrist is the face of a national eye care recruitment campaign.
Jaclyn Fortune, of Mirfield, is hoping her role as star of a new video recruitment campaign will attract more eye professionals to move into domiciliary care from the high street and give older people the care they need.
Jaclyn is an optometrist with OutsideClinic, provider of home eye care and hearing services, and the video shows a day in her life at work in Kirklees, where she sees mostly patients over the age of 65.
Jaclyn, who was flattered to feature in the campaign, said:“I became an optometrist to make a difference to people’s lives and have found that working in domiciliary enables me to do that in a way that a regular high street optician job didn’t. "
