A PERSON who had only been released from prison "weeks" ago was arrested in Bradford yesterday after being found with a "large quantity" of the synthetic drug 'spice'.
Neighbourhood Policing Team officers in Bradford South carried out a stop and search in the Great Horton area of the city, when they found the person to be in possession of the drug.
Other items "consistent with dealing" were also found, police say, and the person was then arrested for possession with intent to supply.
They had only been out of prison for a matter of "weeks", it was added, after serving a sentence for drug offences.
The news was tweeted by West Yorkshire Police - Bradford South this morning.
Police said that spice, which was formerly a 'legal high' and was only banned in the UK in 2016, is also known by the nickname the "zombie drug" - which is due to how it can often put users in a semi-comatose state.
