BRADFORD Council is proposing to add new footpath networks to the Clayton Heights area.

The authority has announced a Definitive Map Modification Order, under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, for Stocks Lane area footpaths, and a Modification Order.

The order will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for Bradford by adding two networks of four footpaths at Clayton Heights, to the south of Highgate Road. One network connects to Littlemoor to the west, Woodlands Grove and Highgate Road to the north, and New House Lane to the east and the other connects to New House Lane to the west, Stocks Lane to the north, Holme Farm Close to the east and the district boundary with Calderdale to the South.

A copy of the Order and the Order plan may be seen on the Council website at bradford.moderngov.co.uk/mgConsultationListDisplay.aspx. A copy of the Order and Order map may be seen free of charge at Customer Services Centre, ground floor, Britannia House on the comer of Broadway and Bridge Street, Bradford, during normal office hours until August 26. Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to the City Solicitor, Legal and Democratic Services, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY or by email to legalobjections@bradford.gov.uk

quoting reference CORP/PCD/LD/406780 no later than August 26.

If no representations or objections are made the council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, may confirm the order.

If it is submitted to the Secretary of State, any representations or objections which have been made will be sent with it.

Other Public Notices announced by Bradford Council this week are:

* Temporary closure of Ellerton Street and Thornbury Road, Bradford, for gas works to be carried out.

The order will affect Ellerton Street from its junction with Killinghall Road for approximately 10 metres in a westerly direction

and Thornbury Road from its junction with Killinghall Road for approximately 10 metres in an easterly direction.

Alternative routes for traffic will be available at Ellerton Street via Ellerton Street (unaffected section), Chelmsford Road, Mipswell Street, Barkerend Road, Killinghall Road and vice versa, and Thornbury Road via Thornbury Road (unaffected section), Leeds Road, Killinghall Road and vice versa.

The proposed order will come into effect at 8am on July 26 and remain in force until 6pm on August 13.

* Temporary closure of Lustre Street, Keighley, for water works to be carried out.

The order will affect the length of Lustre Street from its junction with Cashmere Street to its junction with Poplar Terrace.

Alternative routes for traffic will be via Lustre Street (unaffected section), West Lane, North Dean Road, Cashmere Street and vice versa.

The order will come into effect at 8am on July 26 and remain in force until 6pm on August 10.
