TOUGH Mudder is coming to Broughton Hall, Skipton for the weekend of July 31 and August 1.

Thousands of people are expected at the Yorkshire leg of the endurance event which was last held in Skipton in 2019, and not last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

There are three competitions for people to enter, the 10 mile ‘classic’, which includes 25 obstacles, and will take place on both days; the 5k, with 13 obstacles, also on both days; and a one mile ‘muddy adventure’ for children, again on both days.

The ‘classic’ and 5k races are almost sold out. On its website, Tough Mudder says: “Over the last year our team has been working hard to ensure we can bring the 2021 Tough Mudder UK season.

“ Along with local officials and independent experts we’ve developed a suite of safety measures and we are looking forward to getting back into the mud.”
