PLANNERS have given the green light for the development of modern industrial units on the site of one of Bradford's most impressive mills.
The Lowry Partnership had applied to build four industrial units on an empty plot of land at Grade II listed Black Dyke Mills in Queensbury.
It would create 565 square metres of new employment space at the mill, which is home to a number of different businesses and a heritage centre.
The application was approved by Bradford Council this week.

Officers said: "The application site which occupies the north western part of the historic curtilage of the mill is separated from the mill by the intervening modern buildings.
"The introduction of commercial units within the larger employment site of the Black Dyke Mill would not be detrimental to the listed building or Conservation Area."
One condition of the approval is that the units will only be allowed to operate from 8am to 6.30pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 9am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
