A KEIGHLEY paedophile has been jailed for four years for sexual offences against “young and vulnerable” child.

Les Lonsdale, 31, from the town was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court last week after pleading guilty to three offences of sexual activity with a child.

Sentenced on July 2, Lonsdale was handed four years in prison for each offence, to be served concurrently.

The offences took place in 2018, when Lonsdale was aged 28.

The bearded abuser has also been placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

DC Nicola Brook, of the Bradford Crime Safeguarding Team, said: “We welcome Lonsdale’s sentencing for his very serious offending against a young and very vulnerable girl.

“I hope both she and her family can take some comfort from seeing him put before the courts and sentenced for what he has done.

“All reports of sexual abuse are thoroughly investigated with the victim’s needs at the heart of every investigation.”
