AN international law firm with headquarters in Bradford have collaborated with the University of Bradford School of Law to host a competition where the winner will be gifted a smart car.

Proctor & Hobbs Solicitors' mock trial event is aimed at boosting opportunities for local talent and is open to students who have an element of law within their degree.

Six finalists will be shortlisted and paired against one another to take part in mock trials which will be conducted and live streamed on the Proctor & Hobbs' official YouTube channel over the course of three days.

Voting will be open to the public after the streaming of the final mock trial. They will account for 40 per cent of the final vote with the remaining 60 per cent to be decided by a panel of solicitors, barristers and lecturers.

There will be an awards ceremony held at the firms offices where the winner will be awarded the huge prize.

To enter, applicants will have to send in a two minute video stating three interesting facts about themselves, why they wish to be a lawyer or why they have chosen law and what their favourite case is and why.

Further updates will be uploaded on the firm's Instagram page (Proctorandhobbsofficial).

Applicants are encouraged to act fast as entries will close at 8:00pm on July 31. For more details, email a.ehsan@proctorhobbs.com
