BRADFORD-based fans are in confident mood ahead of England's Euro 2020 semi-final clash tonight.

Gareth Southgate side are set to face Denmark, with a crowd of 60,000 expected to watch the match live at Wembley.

One of those fans will be James Marsh, 38, of Thornton, who has been to all of home England's matches in the tournament so far.

He is a member of the England Supporters' Club and hopes to see England at Wembley in the final on Sunday, if they can defeat the Danes.

Mr Marsh, who is also a Bradford City season ticket holder, has travelled home and away watching England since 2015.

He has already booked his train tickets to London for Sunday's showpiece, in preparation. But first he and a contingent of supporters from Bradford will today travel down to the capital for the semi-final.

He said: "We go to watch England as a group of us.

"I have been lucky enough to go to all of the games in the Euros.

"It's going to be a tough game against Denmark, they are ranked 10th in the world.

"A 2-0 win for England is my score prediction.

"I'm really looking forward to it. I don't want to get too overconfident, though.

"I have been there before watching England lose to Croatia in the World Cup semi in 2018 in Moscow and to Iceland in Euro 2016."

Mr Marsh also gave an insight into what the atmosphere was like for England's 2-0 victory over Germany in the last-16 clash at Wembley last week.

He added: "The atmosphere was electric. The tournament has been brilliant.

"The Germany game was one of the best England matches I have ever been to. It was so intense.

"I was behind the goal that England scored in. When the second goal went in, the roof came off."

Meanwhile, Humayun Islam, chairman of Bangla Bantams, a Bradford City supporters' group, is looking ahead to England's semi-final clash tonight in confident mood.

He is part of a Apna England, a national network of South Asian-led fans of the national team made up of supporters of clubs from across the country.

Supporters of this network often go to England games together or unite on social media, particularly in the pandemic era.

Mr Islam said: "We have the momentum, I don't think there is a better team left in the tournament than England, so we can be very optimistic.

"We just have to continue how we have been doing. We're getting stronger and stronger. We have strength in depth in the squad.

"It's amazing. England have given people a massive lift. It's so positive.

"Harry Kane is coming good at the right time. He is the best striker in the world.

"The England team have ultimate belief. All of the squad want to be selected to play.

"Gareth Southgate is doing a great job and they are creating their own history."
