THE family of a Bradford man have paid an emotional tribute following the father of two's death.

Russell Pemberton, 33, of Shipley, sadly took his own life last Wednesday (June 30).

He leaves behind fiancée of almost a decade Kirsty Broadbent and young children Henley, nine, and Kyra, three.

His last message to his partner was a text saying, “I love you”.

A good turnout of motorbikes and quads, which Russell loved driving about with his friends and son, rode around Carr Lane earlier today and balloons will also be released this evening at the scene of the floral tributes.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Carrie Anne Broadbent, Kirsty's big sister, said: "It is still so surreal. Russell was always a happy person.

"He had a heart of gold and would always be there to help anyone out.

"He suffered with depression, but you would never know as he was always there for everybody else.

"He liked keeping his hands busy and would always get stuck into anything and everything.

"He built computers from scratch; he would always finish projects.

"He loved to go on family walks with his kids too."

Carrie has set up a Go Fund Me page to raise funds for the funeral costs.

After initially targeting £500, the total has more than doubled that with it currently standing at £1,085.

Carrie added: "Russell wasn’t one to talk about his feelings, so I want to try raise awareness for men who are struggling.

"I just hope we can raise as much as we can, so she is not having to struggle with two kids. I will do anything to help Kirsty out.

"I thought I would start really low and when it got past that, I just kept thanking people. It is amazing!

"We are grateful for all the support Kirsty is getting from family and friends."
