THERE are huge delays on the M62 this afternoon due to a bridge defect.
Two lanes have been closed on the eastbound carriageway between Rothwell and Normanton.

Highways England said it is due to a defect in a bridge joint and traffic officers are currently at the scene.
There is currently congestion back to Tingley, with one person describing "massive queues" on the motorway.
There are also delays along Barnsdale Road from Methley to Castleford.
Emergency repairs are being carried out and travel time is around 40 minutes.
It's expected to clear between 5.30pm and 6pm.
