FIREFIGHTERS and police officers saved the life of woman in distress at a home in the Great Horton area of Bradford last night.
Police and Fairweather Green Fire Station were called at 9.25pm Tuesday to the scene of the woman in distress at a residential property on Daisy Street.
Andy McCann, crew commander of Fairweather Green Fire Station said: "The lady was in distress. She got into difficulty at height and we had to erect a ladder 25 metres up.
"We sent two firefighters up and the lady fell off the roof as they were going up, but one of the firefighters managed to catch her, saving her life.
"They then managed to push her through a VELUX window into the loft of a neighbouring house and into the hands of police officers who got the lady to safety."
