POLICE are appealing for information following an attempted carjacking by a knife-wielding biker and a car full of men last week.

Detectives are asking anyone who was around the junction of Southfield Lane and Little Horton Lane in Little Horton between 6pm and 6.16pm on Tuesday, June 22, to come forward.

A man was driving his blue Audi S3 when he stopped at traffic lights at the junction, and while he was stationary a man on a black 'superbike' style motorbike pulled up next to him.

The rider then threatened the driver with a knife and told him to follow him, as the occupants of a black BMW car behind the victim were planning to take his Audi.

The rider of the bike is described as being an Asian male, around 5ft 6ins tall and of a stocky build, with tattoos on his arms and wearing a black t-shirt and black helmet.

The black BMW behind the victim's car, believed to be a 12 reg BMW 3 series, contained at least four Asian men.

When the lights changed, the victim continued across the junction onto Southfield Road, but was not followed by the suspects who turned left onto Southfield Street.

Anyone who saw the incident or has any information at all which could assist enquiries is asked to contact the Bradford District Crime Team by calling 101 quoting crime reference number 13210315050, or by using the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
