PRODCUERS of a film about Yorkshire are looking for people with stories to share about overcoming life challenges thanks to a bit of ‘Yorkshire grit’.
Filming for the Evolution of Yorkshire is taking place throughout the summer and will feature a range of personal stories from people to show the continual change throughout Yorkshire and Yorkshire-folk.
Having interviewed the likes of former Great Britain Rugby League captain, Jamie Peacock, and playwright John Godber, Hull-based filmmakers Storyboard Media, are calling out for Yorkshire residents to step forward or nominate someone they know with a story to tell to feature in the documentary.
Anyone interested in taking part or who would like to learn more, should email pippa@eskimosoup.co.uk or contact Evolution of Yorkshire through their social media channels.
Director, Iain Thompson, said: “It’s been great to interview many of the most well-known sons and daughters from across Yorkshire, but now it is the turn of our most colourful characters who represent the spirit and occasional eccentricity of our county in all its glory.”
“We are interested in people who have stories of resilience, but we would also like to hear from characters who confirm or deny Yorkshire stereotypes. If there are people with flat caps and whippets out there, we’d like to meet them.”
