SIR - The proposed plans for a Yoh Burger restaurant on Wakefield Road, with its divisive design, are surely a matter of concern (T&A, June 24).
In particular that Bradford Council's planning officers consider it to be a "high quality design" even though it would be constructed with shipping containers. Is it really any surprise that so many people sadly consider our city to be a dump?
It is surely time there was an acceptance by the Council, and its planners, that buildings utilising shipping containers are simply not acceptable and will not be allowed.
We should be expecting top quality construction across the city, but not, as the planners seem to accept, with the use of these containers.
One can but hope that the Area Planning Panel will refuse the application.
