A BUSY road in West Yorkshire is set to be closed for most of today following a serious crash this morning.
Halifax Road, in Todmorden, has been closed for the last couple of hours due to a police incident, between Cross Stone Road and Key Sike Lane - a 200 metre stretch of the road just outside the centre of Todmorden.
The incident happened in the early hours, some time after 4am.
Calderdale Council has warned motorists the road is "likely to be closed for most of the day", and told drivers to find an alternative route.
At 6.45am, West Yorkshire Police confirmed the road is closed following a road traffic collision.
Halifax Road, the A646, is one of the key routes between villages in the Pennines and is expected to cause disruption throughout the day to motorists and to bus routes.
