POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Huddersfield on Monday afternoon.
The incident happened on Bradford Road / Northgate at 3.05pm and involved five vehicles – a Mercedes A140, a Suzuki Vitasra an Audi A3, a Seat Leon and a Toyota Yaris.
The Mercedes was travelling along Bradford Road towards Northgate when it and the other four vehicles were in collision.
The 80-year-old male driver of the Mercedes was taken to hospital in a serious condition and sadly died later. No-one else was injured during the incident.
Any witnesses to the incident, who saw the Mercedes immediately before the collision and in particular anyone with dashcam footage is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1003 of Monday, June21.
