THESE are the nine areas with the highest Covid-19 infection rates in the Bradford district.
Infection levels in the district remain stubbornly high, with more than 700 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Bradford in the seven days to June 15, and an infection rate of 132.8 infections per 100,000 people.
However, nine areas are still reporting infection rates in excess of 200 infections per 100,000 people, showing that Covid is spreading in these areas at a high rate.
Frizinghall & Heaton Grove and Canterbury currently have the worst infection rates in the district, in excess of 300 per 100,000 people.
Covid-19, driven by the Delta variant, is believed to be spreading the most among young people who have yet to be vaccinated, so it’s hoped as more under 30s get the jab in the coming days and weeks these figures will fall again.
People continue to be urged to take regular tests to keep tabs on their infection status, and all adults who have not yet been vaccinated are being called upon to get the jab as soon as possible.
The nine areas with the highest Covid-19 infection rates in the Bradford district are:
- Frizinghall & Heaton Grove – 368 infections per 100,000 people
