A BINGLEY-based home shopping firm has announced sponsorship plans for a series of sports clubs as part of its continued support in the community.
Damart has allocated almost £3,000 for the sponsorship of Bingley Congs Cricket Club, Brighouse Sports Bowls Tournament and Steeton FC.
The retailer has been sponsoring the Brighouse Sports Bowls Tournament for the last four years.
The tournament runs for eight weeks during the summer and attracts up to 128 top bowlers from across the north of England - all hoping to make it to the grand final which takes place on Saturday, August 21.
The sponsorship of Bingley Congs Cricket Club will see a board displayed in Damart’s grounds for one year to promote and support the club.
Damart will also be sponsoring the polo shirts of local football club, Steeton FC.
Claire Brown, Damart’s online merchandise manager, said: “As well as supporting our charity partners, we feel it is really important to be able to give something back to the local clubs who are making a difference in our community.
“We are thrilled to be able to show our continued support for the Brighouse Sports Bowls Tournament, as well as honour sponsorships for Bingley Congs Cricket Club and Steeton FC.”
