A HEALTH and beauty store in Bradford city centre has applied for a licence to also sell alcohol.
Savers Health & Beauty on Kirkgate has submitted a licensing application to Bradford Council that would allow it to sell alcohol “for consumption off the premises.”
If approved the store the licence would allow alcohol sales between 9am and 6.30pm.
The chain opened its Bradford city centre branch in February 2020 - just weeks before the beginning of the Covid 19 lockdown and when items like hand sanitiser and toilet roll were much sought after.
Re-development of building on Kirkgate, in Bradford city centre, is approved
It opened in the vacant former Millets unit on the street, which was then, and still is, blighted by empty units.
People have until July 12 to have their say on the licensing application.
