TWO men have appeared in court in the past two months charged with outraging public decency.

One the men was allegedly caught pleasuring himself next to a park where children were present, while the other was allegedly acting in a vulgar manner towards women in the street.

In court at Leeds Magistrates’ on June 8 was Attila Nemeth, 36, of Rose Street, Manningham, charged with one count of outraging public decency.

It was alleged that on April 9, Nemeth was in Ferrand Avenue, Bierley, when he acted in an indecent manner by “grabbing his crotch and rubbing it towards females”.

Nemeth had previously pleaded not guilty to the offence and elected for a summary trial, and his case was adjourned until June 24 for the trial to take place at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court in Huddersfield, and he was remanded into custody until that time.

Appearing on April 21 at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court was Rikpal Makh also charged with outraging public decency.

The 32-year-old, of Aspinall Street, Mytholmroyd, allegedly behaved in an indecent manner on June 24, 2020, by sitting in his vehicle next to Savile Park in Halifax while masturbating, and that there were children and families present in the park playing or sunbathing.

Makh has pleaded not guilty to the charge, and also elected for a summary trial. He has been remanded on unconditional bail ahead of his trial, which will take place at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on July 16.
