SIR - A few years ago when Bradford's then top judge told us that danger drivers who ignored blue light chases would be jailed we all cheered, this being just what the Police's Steerside campaign needed (T&A, January 10 2018).
Sadly since then things have gone steadily downhill, and the local judiciary has now reached a new low.
Only today (T&A, June 4) danger driver Jordan Firth was racing another vehicle, ignored police blue lights, and reached a speed of 100 mph in freezing conditions. He was only stopped by a police stinger device. Despite all this the judge handed down a totally inadequate two month jail term, suspended for 12 months.
Is it any wonder that the dangerous driving problem in our midst simply gets no better.
Perhaps it is time for the T&A danger driver campaign to be properly resurrected, starting with an interview with the current top judge?
We really can't go on like this any longer.
