THE world's most famous opera singer Andrea Bocelli is heading to Yorkshire next year as part of a UK and Ireland tour.
Tickets to see the acclaimed tenor go on sale this Friday to see Bocelli, 62, who has performed at the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and won several awards for his performances over the years.
He is playing Sheffield Arean on Sunday, September 25, 2022, his only Yorkshire date on the tour which also seems him visit Belfast, Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool and London's O2 Arena.
During the pandemic he has created a new album called Believe and also performed on live streams from iconic venues in his homeland of Italy for fans around the world, including to a global audience of more than three million from Milan's Duomo Cathedral.
Throughout his long and illustrious career he has sung alongside the great Pavarotti, as well as popstars including Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion and Ariana Grande.
From every ticket sold for the tour £1 will be donated to the Andrea Bocelli Foundation to support "ABF Educational Projects" in Haiti, empowering children from the most vulnerable areas of the country, offering them the opportunity to express their true potential.
Tickets going on sale at 10am on Friday, and can be bought at the Sheffield Arena website.
