POLICE have revealed the name of the teenager who died in a crash in Holme Wood as Rahees Mahmood.

Rahees, 18, from Bradford, was the passenger of a quad bike which was involved in a serious collision with another vehicle, believed to be a Ford Focus, on Broadstone Way.

He suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the quad bike, a 19-year-old male, was taken to hospital and remains in a serious yet stable condition.

Police are treating the incident as a murder investigation.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At around 4:09pm on Thursday, June 3, police were called to reports of a serious road traffic collision on Broadstone Way.

"The incident occurred when a vehicle, believed to be a silver Ford Focus collided with a quad bike.

"The passenger of the quad bike, an 18-year-old male, suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Police can now confirm the identity of the victim as Rahees Mahmood, 18, from Bradford.

"The driver, a 19-year-old male was taken to hospital following the collision and remains in a serious yet stable condition.

"Another man and a woman have been arrested overnight in connection with the incident and remain in custody at this time.

"Two males, aged 19 and 30, who were previously arrested and have been released under investigation.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and police are urging anyone with any information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
