A BRADFORD-based concrete admixtures specialist has named its new senior product technician.

Jordan Smith, 25, has taken on the new role at Oscrete. He began his career with parent company Christeyns in 2016, being offered a full-time role with Oscrete at the end of his two-year apprenticeship period.

His new role with Oscrete sees him rise through the ranks to handle specific customer projects, on-site trials and product improvement.

Jordan will support the business with visits to customer sites to investigate project requirements and carry out product trials to monitor and check quality.

Working closely with the commercial and operations teams, Jordan will be involved in product development and in the training and support of the concrete technician.

He said: “I am looking forward to taking on this challenging new role.

“My previous training and experience has led me to the point where I am confident and ready to progress into this next step in my career.

“The role will enable me to further increase my knowledge, to take on and overcome various situations and applications to support Oscrete and our Customer base.”

Jordan’s career progress demonstrates not only his own abilities but the success of a structured and integrated apprenticeship programme that encourages individuality whilst providing knowledge into all aspects of the company business.

Scott Wilson, Operations Director, said: “I am delighted at Jordan’s promotion to Senior Product Technician.

“From day one as a young apprentice, Jordan demonstrated all the attributes to become successful.

“He is hardworking and innovative and aims to provide the highest levels of customer service at all times.

“This next step for Jordan will support Oscrete as we grow our market share and stay ahead of the competition.”
